Working together in and for God's Kingdom.

 

Members of St. Paul's, Flint; St. Jude's, Fenton; and St. Dunstan's, Davison began serving together in Family Promise, a new ministry in Genesee County that works to house homeless families and to help them get into permanent residences.

 

Every thirteen weeks, families in the program will be housed at one church for a week. The guests arrive Sunday afternoon and depart the following Sunday. During their week to host, the church commits to providing for all of the families' needs including meals, beds and linens, and other provisions. 

 

Volunteers serve the families through this ministry as overnight hosts, preparing meals, and donating other goods. They do everything they can to make the lives of these families better and helping them transition into their own homes. 

 

When serving the parents and the children, they are also serving Jesus Christ.
